10th Maccabiah 1977
Thirty-four countries participated in this event, which makes this the greatest Maccabiah ever held since the gathering of participants at the first Maccabiah Games. Still drastically expanding, Canada’s delegation consisted of 92 athletes.
1970s fact: The number of athletes who participated in the Canadian delegation increased by almost double from 1973 to 1977. There are 36 more Canadian athletes who participated, as well as eight more countries.
