Maccabi Canada Presents Junior Girls Volleyball Team

TORONTO, APRIL 28, 2017Maccabi Canada is pleased to announce the athletes selected for the Junior Girls (Under 16) Volleyball team set to compete in the 20th Maccabiah Games in Israel from July 4-18.

These athletes are apart of a more than 600-member delegation from Canada, who will join a total of 10,000 Jewish athletes from 80 countries in the third largest sporting event in the world. 

Supported by Coach Jack Serlin and manager Ellie Rusonik, the team is composed of: Skylar Lyndsay Banks, Sydney Boidman, Allison Duckman, Jordana Haber, Moriah Kalles, Leah Schwartz, Leah Serlin, Carly Shea, Julia Tregobov and Saffron Van der Linde.

Maccabi Canada’s mission is to promote Jewish identity and to cultivate future leaders through the passion of sports. Every four years, the Maccabiah Games brings Jewish athletes of all ages to Israel, providing world-class athletic competition as well as an opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich culture and heritage of the Jewish people.
