Volleyball Athletes Win Gold at FIVB

Maccabi Athletes, Josh Binstock and Sam Schachter, win their first FIVB GOLD medal at the FIVB Parana Open in Argentina and Canada’s first gold in 18 years.
The team also made history by meeting the Israeli team and having an all Jewish match as well as two teams from Canada, for the first time, shared the podium on the world tour. Fellow Canadians Chaim Schalk and Ben Saxton won bronze in the tournament. Congratulations Josh and Sam on this incredible win and your success thus far.

Wolverines claw their way to victory in the Maccabi Bowl II held in Montreal on Sunday, October 19.
The captain came through in the clutch as Daniel Blumer’s Wolverines narrowly defeated Cory Pecker’s Dolphins to secure the Maccabi Bowl II crown. For the Wolverines, the victory was sweet redemption after narrowly missing out on the title in the inaugural Maccabi Bowl in 2013.
