Masters athletes are athletes over 35 years of age who are registered to compete in a Masters category sport. Masters age athletes who are registered to compete in an Open category sport are governed by the Open sport policies.
Masters athletes may select to purchase a full participation package that includes; accreditation, accommodations, meals and flight, or make their own arrangements for flight and/or accommodations while paying for their accreditation only.
Accreditation includes: Maccabi Canada support – administration, coaching and medical staff, competition fees, clothing package, competition uniform, transportation to competitions (from official accommodation centres only), opening and closing ceremonies, security, etc. Masters will enjoy Maccabiah Masters programs that will include touring, sightseeing and special Masters events.
Masters are accommodated by sport and will stay in the following upgraded hotels*:
Jerusalem : Mount Zion Hotel and the Dan Jerusalem ; Tel Aviv – David Intercontinental and Dan Tel Aviv.
Accommodations are based on two to a room (double supplement) and half board (breakfast + dinner). Masters packages will only be sold for the full duration of the Games.
Golfers will stay at the Dan Caesarea. Please note a separate Golfers fee schedule below and review the Golfers Guide.

Masters Athletes payment schedule:
Masters athletes purchasing partial packages will be asked to adhere to the following payment schedule. Any deductions and/or additions will be applied to the final payment.
1st Deposit: $2,500 upon selection, deadline October 15th, 2016
2nd Deposit: $2,750 by December 31st, 2016
3rd Deposit: $3,750 by March 15th, 2017
Final Deposit: $3,500 by June 1st, 2017
Masters athletes may also upgrade their accommodations to a single supplement.
The costs to upgrade to a Single supplement – Add $2,600

Athlete upgrade to Business class on the Maccabi Canada designated flight – add $4,500 – FOR ATHLETES and FULLY ACCREDITED FAMILY MEMBERS only.
Staff upgrade to business class on the Maccabi Canada designated flight – add $6,000.
Availability is very limited, please let us know if you wish to upgrade and we will do our best to accommodate.
Masters athletes are welcome to bring their families along. Accredited family members will be able to stay at the Maccabiah’s official accommodation centres, board official Maccabiah buses, will be granted access to competition facilities and participate in Maccabi World Union tours. They will not be able to march in the Opening Ceremonies with the delegation, and will need to purchase Opening Ceremonies tickets. The costs for supporters (Masters Athletes’ families) are:
