Maccabi Canada Presents Junior Boys Baseball Team

TORONTO, MAY 1, 2017 – Maccabi Canada is pleased to announce the athletes selected for the Junior Boys Baseball team set to compete in the 20th Maccabiah Games in Israel from July 4-18.
These athletes are apart of a more than 600-member delegation from Canada, who will join a total of 10,000 Jewish athletes from 80 countries in the third largest sporting event in the world. 

Supported by coach Howard Binstock and Manager Matthew Winograd, the team is composed of: Gavin Andison, Nicholas Backstein, James Bender Kerbel, Aaron Dahan, Matthew Doucette, Jake Finkelstein, Micah Frankel, Jordan Glazer, Max Merovitz, Joshua Moscovitz, Ben Rittenberg, Ryan Shore and Cole Wyman. 

Maccabi Canada’s mission is to promote Jewish identity and to cultivate future leaders through the passion of sports. Every four years, the Maccabiah Games brings Jewish athletes of all ages to Israel, providing world-class athletic competition as well as an opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich culture and heritage of the Jewish people.
