Even though the Maccabiah Games are still two years away, the battle lines were drawn in the sand recently by eager, ageless athletes anticipating head to head battles over the right to be called champions of the 'Sports Challenge'. They weren't representing traditional Games powers such as Canada, the United States, Israel, and the like. Toronto vs. Montreal Tennis Challenge

Mayfair West Tennis Club in Toronto played host to the first-ever Montreal-Toronto Maccabi Canada Tennis Challenge, May 27-29, 2011. The goal was to bring 12 junior tennis prospects together(6 from Montreal and 6 from Toronto) in a Davis Cup Tennis atmosphere and to get the kids excited about the possibility of representing Canada in the 2013 Maccabiah in Israel.
