MASTERS GUIDE

Masters athletes are athletes over 35 years of age who are registered to compete in a Masters category sport.  Masters age athletes who are registered to compete in an Open category sport are governed by the Open sport policies.

Masters athletes may select to purchase a full participation package that includes; accreditation, accommodations, meals and flight, or make their own arrangements for flight and/or accommodations while paying for their accreditation only.

Accreditation includes: Maccabi Canada support – administration, coaching and medical staff, competition fees, clothing package, competition uniform, transportation to competitions and all Maccabiah events (organized by Maccabi World Union from official accommodation centers only), opening and closing ceremonies, security, etc. Masters will enjoy Maccabiah Masters programs that will include touring, sightseeing and special Masters events.

Masters are accommodated by sport and will stay in higher grade hotels. Maccabi Canada will provide the hotels details as those becomes available.  Hotel placemetn is at the sole discretion of Maccabi World Union and is subject to change.

Accommodations are based on two to a room (double supplement) and half board (breakfast + dinner).  Masters packages will only be sold for the full duration of the Games.

Maccabi World Union’s policy states that the Maccabiah transportation is only to and from the official Maccabiah accommodation centres. Masters who opt out of accommodations will be able to use the Maccabiah transportation ONLY from Official Maccabiah Masters Hotels, and will NOT receive meals. In addition, Masters who opt out of accommodations will be able to attend all Masters programs and events.

* If you are choosing to opt out of Maccabiah accommodation, please be aware: 

• Maccabiah transportation to and from training and competitions venues is available ONLY from the official Maccabiah hotels.
• Maccabiah transportation to and from tours and cultural and special masters’ events venues is available ONLY from the official Maccabiah hotels.
• If you choose to forgo staying in the official Maccabiah hotels you are not entitled to any meals provided in these hotels or venues for the Maccabiah delegates.
